Bridging $MOD from Ethereum to Fantom

Moving your $MOD tokens from the Ethereum Mainnet to Fantom is simple and fast. If you have any issues or concerns please join the Modefi telegram group for assistance.

Step 1: Visit https://multichain.xyz

Step 2: Connect Metamask to Multichain.xyz

Click Connect Wallet on the top right corner

Select the check box next to the wallet containing your $MOD tokens. Click “Next”, then “Connect”.

Step 3: Select token to bridge

In this case we are bridging $MOD from Ethereum to the Fantom Opera Network. So we will click on the icon in the “From” box

In the search box type MOD and select “MOD on ETH Mainnet”

Step 4: Transfering $MOD token to the Fantom Network

Enter the total amount of $MOD tokens you would like to send to the Fantom Network.

*Note there are no fees to use the bridge during the ETH -> FTM bridging process aside from the usual ERC20 transfer fees. Min transfer of 12 $MOD.

You’re almost there!

Select the “Transfer” button and a Metamask window should appear. Leave the default Gas Price or check https://etherscan.io/gastracker for the most up to date gas prices.

Click “Confirm”. Once confirmed there will be a confirmation popup showing the status of your transfer.

Once complete you will see a link to both the Ethereum and Fantom Network bridge TX’s. You can click on either to see the details. You can click the “Transfer transaction successful” link to see the transfer of $MOD tokens to your Fantom wallet.

Step 5: Visit https://chainlist.org/ to add the Fantom Opera Network to Metamask

Connect your wallet to the Chainlist dapp (top right corner)

Once connected search “Fantom” and select “Add to Metamask”

Your Metamask will prompt to “Allow this site to add a network?”. Select “Approve”, then “Switch Network”.

You are now successfully connected to the Fantom Opera Network and you should see “Fantom Opera” in your networks dropdown within Metamask. Congratulations on connecting to one of the fastest and inexpensive EVM compatible networks.

Step 6: Witnessing the power of the Fantom Network and it’s low transaction costs

Now that your $MOD tokens are on the Fantom Network you can enjoy the fast and super low cost transactions, including trading (https://anyswap.exchange/swap) and staking (staking to be launched in the coming days).

When making transfers or trades on the Fantom Network you can typically use anywhere between 1–22 gwei in gas. In most cases 1 gwei will work just fine, which will give you the lowest transaction cost possible.

Here’s an example of a trade completed on Anyswap. You can see the total transaction cost on the Fantom Network was 0.000037 FTM for the swap (approx. $0.000014 @ $0.38 / FTM).
